Megan Reed is a Development Consultant at ConnectED. She brings over twenty years of writing experience in both the public and private sectors. For the past ten years, she has been both a grant writer and grant manager in the non-profit sector, with a particular emphasis on services for underserved youth, securing over $7M in both private and governmental grants for organizations like Teaching Channel, Seeds of Awareness, The California School-Based Health Alliance, Roses in Concrete Community School, The People’s Conservatory, Mycelium Youth Network, among others. Megan is also a long-time teacher, having taught English literature, writing, art and humanities for eight years at Diablo Valley College, at Saint Mary’s College in Moraga, CA, California College of the Arts in San Francisco, Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, and at an all-girls high school in London, England.

Megan holds a BFA from New York University, an MA from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, and an MFA from California College of the Arts, San Francisco.
