At ConnectED, we bring philanthropic dollars to school districts who are ready to make transformational change for students and the wider community. This is long-term, systems change work, and we are grateful to donors, large and small, who belief in this mission and help make this work possible. We would be more than happy to walk you through a typical community engagement process so you can learn more about exactly where your financial support will go.

Make even more of an impact with your donation to ConnectEd by seeing if your employer offers a matching gift program. Matching gifts are a great way to double and often triple your donation. Donors are recognized for taking this extra but important step in supporting ConnectED by enclosing your company’s matching form with your gift. If you are not sure whether your company participates in a matching gift program, please check with your human resources department or contact our Advancement Office for assistance or further information.
Make a gift of real estate or publicly-traded stock, bonds or mutual funds to ConnectED. Gifts of securities often confer significant tax benefits for a donor. For example, contributions of appreciated securities held for over a year are generally deductible at market value, regardless of what the donor paid for them; moreover, the capital gains tax is avoided through such a gift. To make a gift of securities please contact the Advancement Office with complete donor information (name, address, phone number), the name and type of securities to be gifted (public, private, restricted, mutual fund, etc.), the number of shares, and the date you intend to make the gift or contact Lucia Villasana, Chief Advancement Officer (510) 898-4804.
Consider creating your personal legacy by leaving a gift in your will or trust to ConnectED. A bequest is a transfer, by will, securities (stocks), or tangible property to an individual or a charitable organization. We recommend that you check with your tax advisor for details regarding this method of donation. Tax laws permit donors to place assets into a variety of trust vehicles that benefit the donor, the donor’s family or heirs, and ConnectED. For additional information about how to make a bequest, contact Lucia Villasana, Chief Advancement Officer (510) 898-4804.
