Marques McCammon is the President of Ricardo North America, where he is responsible for Ricardo’s operations in the Automotive and Industrial market sectors across the American continent. He joined the business in October of 2019 after five and half years as a global lead for Automotive at Wind River Systems, formerly the commercial software arm of Intel. At Wind River, Marques product and services team spanned 8 countries supporting global OEMs and Tier ones in their efforts to deliver embedded computing for connected and autonomous vehicles. Before Wind River, Marques held numerous executive and management roles spanning EV start-ups and private equity-owned tier 1 suppliers. He started his automotive career at Chrysler Corporation, where he was instrumental in the initial launch of the SRT, performance vehicle divisions, and the marks inaugural vehicle, the SRT-4.
Marques is a mechanical engineer by training. He earned his bachelor’s degree from North Carolina A&T State University, America’s largest Historically Black University, and did his graduate studies at the University of Michigan’s Rackham School of Engineering. Marques lives in the San Diego area with his wife and three, teenaged children. In his spare time, he trains and teaches martial arts and is a U.S. Olympic Committee certified coach and referee. Marques also serves as an advisor to the Southern California-based technology incubator, EVONEXUS, on matters pertaining to transportation-related technology.
