Many districts and schools across the country are adopting the Linked Learning approach as the strategy for transforming high schools and preparing students for success in college, career, and civic life. Linked Learning offers students personally relevant, wholly engaging, rigorous academic and technical curricula combined with exposure to real-world experiences and expectations. Linked Learning pathways create supportive, personalized learning environments that incentivize learning through industry themes and close partnerships with business and industry. Pathways are designed to provide the supports needed for all students to succeed.
ConnectED and the Center for Powerful Public Schools have worked with a robust community of coaches over several years to develop and refine a coaching model and approach for providing support to leaders and practitioners at district, site, and pathway levels. This approach is taught through Coach Training and includes multiple days of in-person professional development with specific learning outcomes for each module, mentoring, and access to coaching resources in ConnectED studios. Continental breakfast and catered lunch are provided. The cohort model of the training allows participants to become part of a network of Linked Learning colleagues.
Upon completion of the training, qualified participants can become certified Linked Learning coaches. Certified coaches build the capacity of the district, school site, and pathway leadership to implement and sustain a system of high quality Linked Learning Pathways. You don’t have to be a coach to learn how to coach. We have worked with teachers, Academy/Pathway Leads, and site administrators who are often asked to coach Linked Learning teams as well. Over 400 people from more than 40 districts across the country have attended Linked Learning Coach Training.
