Happy Teachers, Stronger Students!
Reciprocal Coaching is a practical, teacher-driven approach to instructional improvement.
Developed by the ConnectED Math team, the Reciprocal Coaching Program supports effective implementation of high-quality instructional materials (HQIM) by empowering teachers to set meaningful goals for their own practice—aligned to both curriculum design and district priorities.
At its core, Reciprocal Coaching puts teachers in the driver’s seat.
Rather than prescribing strategies or pacing, the program supports teachers to identify what they want to improve, select relevant instructional moves, and test changes in their own classrooms. This individualized approach ensures professional learning is responsive, relevant, and immediately applicable.
The result is professional learning that sticks.
By grounding teacher reflection in student experience, classroom evidence, and peer feedback, Reciprocal Coaching helps educators internalize HQIM-aligned practices in ways that last long after workshops end.
